Verankila

A tentative mirror for what your face is showing -- entirely on your device.

Verankila watches your face through the front camera and offers a tentative emotion reading, with an explanation of which facial cues it's reading from. It never leaves your device: no camera frames, landmarks, or readings are ever transmitted anywhere.

What it does

Verankila uses on-device machine learning (MediaPipe face landmarking + a small trained classifier) to read your expression and show a tentative reading across seven emotion categories, alongside a highlight overlay showing which facial regions drove that reading. A persistent on-screen indicator shows whenever the camera is active.

What it doesn't do

No clinical assessment, and no medical claim -- every reading is a tentative cue, never a fact
No cloud processing -- nothing about your face or your readings ever leaves your device
No workplace or education use -- Verankila is built and intended for personal use only
No accounts, no tracking, no analytics
